Cartridge Information

EXTRUDED CARBON BLOCK FILTER CARTRIDGES

These cartridges are designed to serve several functions. These cartridges are formed from powdered activated carbon. In addition to chlorine reduction and odor improvement this cartridge reduces fine sediment particles down to 10 micron

These cartridges are available in standard ten and twenty inch lengths.

GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON CARTRIDGES

These GAC cartridges contain coconut shell based granular activated carbon which is highly effective at reducing certain organic chemicals such as EDB, TCE, and THM`s in addition to reducing chlorine. A fine pre and post filter screen is incorporated to reduce carbon fines and other suspended particles. However, flushing of these cartridges are necessary to remove remaining carbon fines. Cartridges are engineered to allow water to enter one end and pass through the entire bed of carbon before exiting through the other end, ensuring maximum absorption.

The body and end caps of this cartridge are constructed of polypropylene
The rubber gasket at the end of this cartridge is made of synthetic rubber

The maximum operating temperature of the cartridge is 52 deg. C

Diameter of the cartridge 63mm
Diameter of the end caps 66mm
Length of the cartridge 248mm

Recommended flow rate 4.5 Lpm
Recommended maximum flow rate 9 Lpm

For best performance operate at the recommended flow rate

KDF/GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON CARTRIDGES

These KDF/GAC cartridges contain a granular zinc copper alloy (KDF55) This medium removes impurities from water by exchanging electrons with them in a redox (oxidation/reduction) reaction. In addition to chlorine, this highly efficient, long lasting, recyclable medium also controls microorganisims and removes heavy soluble metals,
The KDF55 medium is separated by a filter pad within the cartridge from coconut shell based granular activated carbon which is highly effective at reducing certain organic chemicals such as EDB, TCE, and THM`s in addition to reducing chlorine. A fine pre and post filter screen is incorporated to reduce carbon fines and other suspended particles. However, flushing of these cartridges are necessary to remove remaining carbon fines. Cartridges are engineered to allow water to enter one end and pass through the entire bed of KDF/carbon before exiting through the other end, ensuring maximum absorption.
The use of the KDF55 medium ahead of the granular activated carbon in this cartridge removes more than 95% of the chlorine in your water before it reaches the carbon. This preserves the carbon's capacity, freeing the carbon to remove organic contaminants more efficiently and extending the carbon's service life up to 15 times.

SPUN-BLOWN HEAT BONDED POLYPROPYLENE FIBER CARTRIDGES

These pp cartridges are made of 100% pure food grade polypropylene fibers that have been carefully spun together using heat rather than a resin bonding to form a true gradient density from outer to inner surfaces. The coreless strength of the cartridge is achieved by sintering the many fibers into a solid matrix. Designed for purity, corrosion, with lengths to fit most industrial housings.
These cartridges are primarily used to filter out particles of dirt sand and rust etc.

MAX.TEMPERATURE. 85 to 90 DEG.C.

LENGTHS AVAILABLE 10, 20, 30,40, INCH .
